Dear Friend,

We are again offering 5769 Yamim Noraim services to the community

The price is

    A) For returning members: $90.00 per seat, adult or child

    B) For new members: $125.00

Please make check out to Heschel Weiner and deliver it to me before Rosh Hashana to obtain “a label”

We self assign seating as follows:

  1. Once payment is received, a label is generated. I only have room for approx. 100.
  2. The labels are on a sheet right outside the Beis Medrash entry door.
  3. When you arrive, you take your label, choose an empty seat and place the label on the seat. You now have an assigned seat.

Originally, this minyan was founded over 20 years ago on the premise that people with small children will have one parent daven with us while the other parent stayed home with the children. Then, the parent who davened with us would go home and take care of the children allowing the other parent to go to shul. Accordingly, we do not provide any child supervision and, of course, it would not be appropriate for noisy children to disrupt the service as this would negate the basis of the minyan. The Veitzener Cheder does not allow unsupervised children. If you intend to bring children that need to run around and play, You must provide for full time supervision for the chidren in the social hall or the jungle gym. Due to liability issues, No children are allowed to use the jungle gym outside without adult supervision.

Talking is strictly forbidden in shul during services. Unfortunately, this has started to become a problem and I find myself with the unpleasant task of quieting venerated members. I do it reluctantly, but effectively. I don't desire to embarrass anyone and I attempt to do it in the most inconspicuous way as possible the first and second time. I feel a deep responsibility to members who pay and desire to daven in quiet on the Yamim Noraim. There is ample room in the lunchroom for conversation.

Services start at 6:55am on Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur morning. There is no Mincha or Maariv services on Rosh Hashana. Kol Nidre starts about 15 minutes before sunset and Mincha on Yom Kippur starts about an hour before sunset.

We also have services on Simchat Torah nite starting with Mincha at about 20 minutes before sunset on Shmini Atzeret (no break between Mincha and Maariv). And services Simchat Torah morning at 7:00am.

Send me an email and follow it up by payment. I have room for about 100 people. Last year we squeezed in 115. I really have to call it quits once I hit that number, even if I get your check.

Looking forward to seeing you.. כתיבה וחתימה טובה
